The Keller Indians 2018-2019 season begins tomorrow with a home game against WF Rider. Rider starts the year off ranked 12th in 5A by the Texas Association of Basketball Coaches. They will bring a solid test to an inexperienced Keller Squad. While the Indians return 7 varsity players, only 2 saw major minutes in the Indians 2017-2018 District Championship season.
Keller will be aiming for it’s third straight District title and 6th in the last 7 years. That won’t be easy as the UIL realignment has brought in quite a bit of competition. Starting with Denton Guyer who starts the season off as #1 in the state in everybody’s poll. Guyer returns almost the entire team form last season that was ranked #1 in the country!! So Keller will have their work cut out for them, not to mention Keller Central, Fossil Ridge, Byron Nelson, Southlake, and Timber Creek. ALL of which made the playoffs last year. So it will certainly be a challenge. The season kicks off Saturday Nov. 10th at 2:30 so come out and support your local Indians!!
